Marriage, work, friendship — which is more important? Oh, those Americans. They make the same movies year after year without even being shy. Now again another comedy about real friends, faithful marriage, restless parents. All this is wrapped in a wrapper with philosophical meaning.
Owen Wilson, a blonde with a crooked nose, is meant to entertain us in this film and carry that very philosophical idea of friendship. But he's not very good with either. Maybe it does, though. But it's still the same thing. Therefore, it is not as fun to watch as it was 6-7 years ago in similar films.
Michael Douglas would look great in the role of a caring beloved father, but does not look in the role of a grumpy and pathetic.
