Everyone knows about the fall of the Berlin Wall and the subsequent unification of the two Germanys. This documentary reminds us of the events that led to this. In the fall of 1989, peaceful demonstrations were held weekly in the GDR with the slogan “We are the people!” The first marches in Leipzig ended in mass arrests. Then hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets, to touch which the police did not dare. As a result, the GDR government resigned, and the borders dividing Germany into two powers were opened.
