The Great Patriotic War. Karlis the son of a Latvian peasant Petertale went over to the side of the enemy. And when Alda’s dacha sheltered a wounded Soviet paratrooper in the culprit, his father was pleased: the Red Army would return – there would be something to justify. When Karlis returned to the farm, the Germans raided. In a fit of fear, Petertale and his son kill the young man walled up the corpse in the oven.
