It’s hard to judge an old film, just as it’s hard to judge classic writers. When the movie is new, it's easy. You come out with him, and you judge him what is so in him and what is wrong. And here is part of the story that you can touch, to see how people lived. We communicated then not as now, freely, without suspicion, all friends were. That's why I'm so appreciative. But the plot is bad, the intrigue is built around the wanted non-existent son Fedoseenko – a telegram dear to him was sent (to what address?), in the city the boy went to him... You didn't ask? Even if the son was real, what if he died? It does not come – it makes sense to ask why, and not to splash the fever. There is little plot in general, the color is here, and the content is almost no.
