Suddenly, an ancient volcano, extinct hundreds of thousands of years ago, begins to show signs of life. A group of scientists, led by Dr. Peter Shepherd, come to study the causes of such an unusual phenomenon. Very soon, volcanologists realize that the situation is extremely serious. The indicators of the instruments go crazy – the volcano is ready to explode at any moment, and it will be a catastrophe of global scale.
