Ricciardo, a man of strict morals from the south of Italy, after a meeting of olive oil producers in Spain, decides to pay a surprise visit to his daughter, who has lived in Barcelona for many years. Much to his surprise, a father discovers that his daughter is married to a woman, a thing that is unthinkable to Ricciardo. Upon returning to his town in Puglia, Ricciardo does not reveal his “terrible” discovery to anyone, but his daughter and her soulmate come to the town to hide from the ex-husband of a Spanish girl who has been released from prison.
