Young and already successful conductor Walter Salvini interrupts the rehearsal of Giuseppe Verdi’s Othello, which he conducts in 1946. Among the orchestrators he recognized the litavrist Romualdi, who shared a refuge with him in a mountain village. At that time, the lithaurist posed as an important conductor, and this allowed the young man to enjoy the favors of the former diva of the regime.
