The director of the film is Eli Roth, and it seems to be a familiar name, but only the search reminded me of where: he collaborated with Quentin Tarantino, filming thrashy Grandhouse, Proof of Death and Inglorious Bastards.
The main character is surgeon Paul Curcy, aka Bruce Willis. He has such warm and gentle nostalgic feelings. Maybe that's why I went to the movies. The film tells the story of a man who lost loved ones and arranged lynching. He started killing all the villains in a row. Murders in general was not enough – I wanted a dynamic continuation (based on the title of the film) and maybe a bloody thrash (no, he was, of course). Revenge is usually either cold and calculating (this is not about our action movie), or emotional and indiscriminate, but this was not enough, so in general it turned out to be boring.
Not enough drama.
Some scenes were perfectly shot, but I forgot which ones, I remember being scared.
The trailer for the film is generally one big spoiler, which revealed even that one joke of the film.
If you want to remember a strong nut, watch a light medium fighter in a modern way and think about the legalization of weapons in our country, then save it in bookmarks.
My score for 2018's "Death Wish" is 6 out of 10.
