The plot of the series Palm Sunday covers the period from the 70s to the 90s. At the center of the action is the fate of the talented ballerina Oksana Lepina (Svetlana Ivanova). In the 70s, which is called the “era of stagnation”, ballet became one of the main forms of art. People in power considered it their duty to attend ballet performances, it was fashionable and prestigious to appear in the company of young ballerinas. At the same time, none of the party leaders ever wondered what incredible work achieved success in ballet, what was the cost of the ease of fluttering around the stage and wonderful grace, and of course, few people thought about what fierce competition reigns behind the scenes.
Lepina becomes the object of worship of Arthur (Dmitry Dyuzhev), the grandson of a Politburo member. Arthur helps the girl in everything he fell in love with without memory - organizes her main roles in performances, helps her go on foreign tours. Oksana knows who protects her, but for the time being tries to keep a distance.
The series Palm Sunday became the winner of the Golden Eagle award in the category of best mini-series. close
