Francisco Rivera Perez, nicknamed Paquirri, is a famous matador who died of blood loss after being seriously injured by a bull named Avispado in the Posoblanco Arena (Cordoba). Pakirri was extremely popular during his lifetime, but his death, shown almost live, made him a toreo legend. He also became known for his two marriages, which were widely discussed in the press: his marriage to Carmen Ordoñez, the daughter of a famous bullfighter, and his marriage to the singer Isabel Pantoja.
