"The Inspector's Visit" directed by Ashlyn Walsh, 2015, is another adaptation of the play by D.B. Priestley. At a family party on the occasion of the engagement of the daughter of the manufacturer and the son of his long-time rival, moreover, more prolific, with whom he may be able to combine his business, suddenly a man, posing as police inspector Gull, shows up and reports that a girl has died in the hospital and he wants to ask them a few questions in connection with this. As a result, it turns out that all family members and even the groom were somehow connected with this girl and their actions could serve as one of the reasons why she died. After the departure of the inspector, they, slightly recovering from their own revelations, begin to find out whether there is such an inspector, and whether the girl died, there is no such inspector, the girls too, everyone, except the bride and her brother, relax, when suddenly the phone rings and they are told... In general, Priestley’s tried method of circularity of action in order to use such a rather artificial technique to bring to the clean water people who commit vile and unseemly deeds, but nevertheless always ready to justify themselves. Who was Inspector Gull?
