Three season review.
Love it! Anne in the first series was very annoying. I was looking at this storm of exaltation on the verge of mental illness and thought I would get rid of this girl as quickly as possible. It turned out that the contradiction is the beauty of the character. If this Anne had been a refined, sweet orphan, she would hardly have aroused trust and response.
I can’t join the general outcry of outrage over the “tolerance” and controversial topics raised in season two. Perhaps if I had read books and been a fan of the original, I would have been dismayed by a similar digression. But even this is unlikely, because the film turned out to be good, because it is depressing not so much "not as in the book," as "the book is a million times cooler." It was interesting to remember once again how difficult it was to be a minority in the pre-tolerance era.
The selection of actors is a separate delight. The guardians are beautiful, wonderfully written characters. It’s great that children were taken on the role of children – it’s interesting to see how they grow up, not grow out of the age of their heroes.
