In the spring of 1944 in the Janowski forests of Poland against the fascist occupiers acted detachments of Soviet partisans and soldiers of the Polish Resistance: the Army of Ludova and the Army of the Kraiova, which obeyed the bourgeois Polish government in London adhered to neutrality. When the fascists blocked the forest, Soviet partisans repelled the first blow offered the leader of the Kraiov Army - Brzezina - a single plan to get out of the encirclement. Rejecting the offer of the allies, the Polish soldiers could not get out of the encirclement and died in an unequal battle.
