«Five diary entries by an activist from Raqqam, Syria»
In January 2014, a brutal jihadist group founded its capital in eastern Syria, Raqqa. In two years, the so-called “Islamic State” has become the most famous extremist group in the world. For three months, BBC Radio 4 correspondent Mike Thomson was in touch with an activist from Cancer. The film reflects records from the activist’s diary about what life is like under the Islamic State.
