The book first. In general, the book has been read and forgotten. In my opinion, the detective did not turn out in the genre of his understanding, because everything is crumpled, flat and somewhat boring. The love line (Harry + Nola) does not stand up to criticism. Everything is so primitive, with the word “love” repeating itself 20 times on the page. It seems that the author himself has never been in love and his sexual orientation is not on this topic. I didn't like the book.
Now the movie. This is the case when the film adaptation is better than the literary source. Throwing away all the brothels about literature and erasing all the love snot. There's a solid, believable detective left. 10 out of 10 my grade. Ben Schnetzer did a great job playing Marcus, but Harry Quebert (Dempsey) was a little disappointed. The film's impression is good. VC
"Shababniki" (2018) about students of theological school, where they prepare "peisate" orthodox. A rather witty comedy about how “classical” spiritual education does not withstand the influence of the modern youth environment.
"Badness." I watched because the credits indicate A. Ivanov and Ursuliak.
Since neither movies nor TV series domestic almost do not watch, all the actors were new, except Makovetsky, who only spoiled the film.
I didn’t like the book and the movie was the same. The creators were late. The anger of the day is long gone, and remembering the 90s is not particularly pleasant now.
I liked only one thing, the series sequence. This technique reinforced the dramatic component, because not everything is filmed as in the book. And it worked.
