To blame my death. . .
Night. The city of Trieste falls asleep, the mafia wakes up. The mafia meets, makes a choice. Morning. The bad news is that the police commissioner was the victim of the mafia. Leonardo Cagliostro was looking for trouble on his Italian soul and found it. Audacious, intelligent, principled, brazen, acting not by the rules, many do not like such, but they solve all the most difficult cases. And when you're dead, it's harder than ever. The plot of the series "Red Door" is quite curious, although in almost every review, and mine will be no exception, recall the film "Ghost". Yes, the ghost hero - it was already, but not in such a long time, so the comparison with the film is very, very relative.
But from the first to the fourth series, the feeling of playfulness, overplay, excessive dramatization does not leave, and here, of course, it is important to make a reference to the mentality. After watching numerous TV series produced by Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, etc., wean from such emotionality, people are frowning and focused on business. And I wouldn't write about that drama if it didn't get in the way of the detective line. In the first series, I almost talked to the monitor, like Sergey Yurievich Belyakov from Taganrog. 'Stop crying!! Stop fighting! Get on with it! How much can I cry and cry? Something like that. And only on 5 episodes the series begins to gain clear momentum.
This is my first acquaintance with the Italian detective series, so I overcame myself and decided to look to expand the detective horizons. And after all, the series has great actors, there are very memorable characters, textured, great soundtrack. And I want to praise the opening credits separately. Now you rarely find interesting, visually and musically catchy titles, and in this series they clearly worked on. Visually, I would say flashed a light shadow of the detective, but it is of course very subjective. And then tears, flashbacks become less, and the characters begin to reveal themselves from different sides. And that's probably the main thing and the idea of the series for me, that we can't be sure of anyone. The closer a person is, the more dangerous he is, and the goat (this word often appears there) may not be on closer examination. The series then quite filigree plays with your perception, from almost all the characters opinion is likely to change. Due to this, it was interesting to watch and still wanted to find out who killed Commissioner Katani, tofu - Cagliostro.
In general, patience will help to master this series, because if you remove all the water, clarifying relationships, philosophical conversations, numerous flashbacks, many of which are already repeating what they saw and do not give anything new, it could be reduced to 8, well, a maximum of 9 episodes. Thank you to the creators that the patient will be rewarded and the final will be clear, interesting, logical. In contrast to the recently watched Dublin Murders, where a potentially great series at the end just crumbled. So the Italians have already managed to leave the groundwork for season 2 in the last series. I think what I saw in Italy went well. To me, all these backgrounds are very uninteresting, but I can assume that the series will surprise.
At the end. Fans of Italian cinema, emotions, romance, drama, will have to taste. For me, he looked childish, overplayed, but I repeat, he still gained his momentum, despite the fact that the combination of detective, mysticism and love drama is a difficult task, there is a risk that some line will periodically sag. After the series left a generally pleasant impression and primarily because of the excellent acting work and the constantly elusive truth.
