I’ve never liked films with a spherical idea in a vacuum, where the author hints, if not directly, says: Here’s some thing, how it came about – it does not matter at all, but how the characters will deal with it all. I’ve never liked films with a spherical idea in a vacuum, where the author hints, if not directly, says: Here’s some thing, how it came about – it does not matter at all, but how the characters will deal with it all. That's how it is and everything, accept it. Nope. Who, how and why created the gin machine in the mansion? What energy does it run on? Why didn't the characters try to take advantage of it in a more intelligent way? I am already frankly tired of plots in which the characters get a certain curiosity, but they, due to the inherent script stupidity, do not try to find an approach to it. So, according to the condition, the things created by the room can not be taken out of the house, so all the money and jewelry are useless. But why didn’t the heroes come up with the idea to create only a tool of some kind in the room and give it real raw materials for making real things? Toy conveyor, supercomputer for computing, printing press, moonshine machine. They didn’t try, it’s not necessary for the plot, here the author says, “Spectator, don’t get distracted, the film is not about that.” But this is deed, the plot comes out artificial. Well, they created a child, did not cope with responsibility, he grew up a maniac angry at the world in which he can not go, he nightmare them with a gin machine. Again, why didn't the characters just want guns? Their villain is not a space monster, not some seasoned killer, not a village cannibal with a chainsaw, it is just a man, he can be killed by a decanter’s blow to the head. They are trying to convince us of the extreme danger of the situation. I don't. The only thing I liked was a slightly unusual epilogue.
