The abundance of minerals most valuable for the world market first led to the country of colonizers, and then caused a long and bloody civil war. The country gained independence in 1960, but it stopped slavery, child labor, genocide. The film tells the story of translator Bernard Calume Bouleri. He and his family became victims of an endless struggle for control over the fields. Innumerable natural resources “go to the white people”, and Congolese bring only misery, death, destruction and poverty.
