What kind of fish are you? Yonatan's problem seemed to me to be a partially constructed social environment - people here do not communicate with each other, so they spend a lot of time alone with themselves, which forms the basis for psychological problems. I think that this guy would be helped by a normal team that is not in the rough job of cutting fish that he is engaged in. Perhaps, the fish symbolism indicates the wordlessness of the society in which the main character is immersed - even a conversation with a psychologist is incredibly scanty.
In contrast to society, Jonathan’s new neighbor, Elke, turns out to be extremely talkative – she is in some ways opposed to society. One could even say that her naive openness is a challenge to society – in this case, in the face of Yonatana, who is immersed in social cloak. Through introspection, through the realization of the evil in himself, Yonatan begins to understand that Elka needs protection and care, and this withdrawal of the guy can become an impulse to get out of the vicious circle into which Jonathan is again dragged by circumstances. I think Jonathan here refrained from entering the same murky river a second time, not simply by acknowledging evil in himself, but primarily by taking care of Elka, by shifting his attention from himself to another person, through her hard-won time.
