American drama thriller "The Undoing", 2020, season 1, 6 episodes, directed by Susanne Beer. And again, kind of like in the series Balthazar, it is about the fact that people do not see and do not understand who they live with, who they believe, although by the nature of their occupations they would like to immediately understand everything. But it wasn't. The main character is a successful clinical psychologist with a doctoral degree Grace Fraser (Nicole Kidman) has her own practice, where she consults married couples. Her husband, Jonathan Fraser (Hugh Grant), is a pediatric oncologist. Grace's father Franklin (Donald Sutherland) is a wealthy man who pays for their son's education in a small but very prestigious private school. Suddenly, a very strange beautiful young woman with a small child appears on the horizon, whose son also attends this school, but on a scholarship, because they clearly do not belong to the rich. It is not long before this woman is killed. And then begins to spin a very confusing story with this murder, overgrown with more and more unexpected details, especially for Grace. The end, of course, expected, however, led to it not quite the usual way. And we understand that we are not just shown a screensaver with a girl catching soap bubbles, Grace somewhere in the soul and remained this girl, thinking that the whole world around her is beautiful, despite all her professional knowledge and very strong character, even her father, whose marriage to her mother she considered a model, was not at all what she thought. Looks like the series with interest, shot well, all the same it is Suzanne Beer, although it was possible to 6 episodes and not stretch. There might be some shortcomings, but I won’t do that. Not everyone will like it, I think, but some people will be interested.
