I Love You, Now Die: The Commonwealth v. Michelle Carter | ||||||||||||||
|
|||||||||||||||
A person can lose his or her life through the fault of a... SMS. And no, it's not about stuffing messages into your phone while driving. In the summer of 2014, 18-year-old American Conrad Roy committed suicide in a black pickup truck outside a supermarket. The last months of his life, he communicated only with his girlfriend Michelle Carter, who, as the police later found out, sent him strange messages, where she persuaded him to go to the next world. The story forced the U.S. judicial system to review cyberbullying laws.
