School graduate Ju Soo-in wants to get into the world of professional baseball, but for this you need to learn to throw the ball at a speed of 150 km / h, which the girl, unlike boys, will not be able to achieve. However, Su-In does not give up, despite the fact that she is discouraged from baseball in school, training, and in the family. She even plans to stay in school for another year just to be able to go to workouts. Su-In’s incredible tenacity and her efforts bear fruit – the coaches notice that the girl is good at serving twisted balls, and decide to use this advantage, giving the schoolgirl a chance.
This film is a typical story of the road to success, but created with great attention and love for the main character. More and more I notice that South Korean films are already head-on ahead of American ones, even in such a typically American story as a success story. The last time there was anything meaningful about women in baseball was in 1992 in The League of Their Own with Tom Hanks.
