In my opinion, now it has become fashionable to shoot films about nothing and try to leave due to special effects and bright, but "cardboard" scenery. Without Clooney and his character, there would be nothing to watch. That is, the plot seems to be, but the events in the film are practically not explained or played out. We're just being confronted with the fact that the planet is over and there's something wrong with the air, that's all.
Beautiful quality picture, a somewhat fabulous incarnation ... and that's it.
This idea could have made a small but very touching short film, but it was not worth it to stretch it into a two-hour film.
ps. although I confess, the last twist was quite unexpected and the strongest moment of the film, Imho
