Two half brothers, Thomas and Carlo, return to their native Naples after the death of their father Vittorio, an avid gambler and womanizer. There, they are surprised to discover that they have a third brother, Hugo, who is slightly dumb but also brilliant. Together they develop a cunning plan to return the father’s property, which was taken from him because of debts. To do this, the brothers use Neapolitan superstitions and the credulity of the locals, whom they save from the “brutal ghosts”. But until the ghosts really come to the brothers for revenge.
