I believe that Alexei German Jr. is a talented director, I like his work, I watched Paper Soldier (2008) with Merab Ninidze – Silver Lion in Venice for the best directorial work, all scolded by Dovlatov (2018) with Milan Marich (I liked the film with its dynamics and style) and interesting, but completely vacuum-free, air “The Case” (2021) with Merab Ninidze and Anna Mikhalkova.
Atmospherically, all of Herman’s paintings stand out for their culture and intelligence.
And finally, quite unexpectedly, another theme and other functionality - the film "Air". In my opinion, it turned out ... absolutely its own author's film with a little "quick" and "glue" plot kaleidoscope, but chic air battles and moral conclusions about everyday little heroism during the Second World War. There is no specific segmentation of people (which are inherent in recent years films about the war), no moral teachings and too much sentimentality, theatricality (which is absolutely not necessary here in this case).
The film, of course, you need to watch on the big screen, I watched with friends in the cinema - there is a certain aftertaste and reflection after watching, you pour into the quoted book of Viktor Astafiev "Cursed and Killed": "With the earth people have long treated as if it was not bestowed by the Creator as a reward for life and doing good deeds on it, but despicably threw a person under his feet so that he crucified it as a last lakhudra, so that, having breathed out, fearing, he again fell into it for eternal salvation."
In my opinion, this is one of the best roles of Sergei Vitalyevich Bezrukov.
I cried.
Highest score. Thanks for the movie.
I recommend everyone to watch this movie and my friends...
