It is a pity, but on the Internet this series is exclusively in the Kazakh language. There are no subtitles or dubbing in Russian yet. This is the first series I'm trying to watch without translation. The level of Kazakh here is not too difficult, speaking the language at the level of "A2" (beginner, basic) will be able to understand about 80 percent of the cinema. A little to the understanding will add what is happening on the screen, in addition, some moments of the film, where non-Kazakh actors are involved, are also in Russian. The action begins in 1986, where the main character Jasuzak Kurakpayev meets a girl: she is going to enter the institute in the city, he will soon go to serve in the army. Then the events are transferred to 1987, the scene of a fierce battle, reminiscent of something "9 company". Wound and concussion. The main character is picked up by an Afghan man whose son was killed by the Shuravi. The old man talks a lot about mercy, his grandson wants to kill a stranger or turn him over to the mujahideen. And our protagonist’s family lives in the village: his mother has a sick heart, father, railwayman, is about to be reduced. There is also a younger sister Aktolkyn and a brother Azamat, who brings trouble to parents. And yet someone learns that the old man is hiding the wounded. And then the old man carries the wounded closer to the location of the Soviet units. It is dangerous to keep him: the troops of Ahmad Shah Massoud are expected to attack. The hero goes to the hospital, where he is interested in the relevant authorities. The head doctor of the hospital stands up for him, but many residents of the hospital consider the protagonist a traitor. In the hospital, he meets a nurse named Gulru, the widow of a deceased Afghan officer who fought for the DRA. There is a romantic relationship between the patient and the nurse. On discharge from the hospital, Jasuzak was arrested and transferred to Moscow. In the end, all suspicions of the hero were removed. This is how the fourth series ends. This part of the film is in Russian. However, a simple retelling of the movie is very thankless, so we will try to do without spoilers in the future. I will limit myself to the fact that for me the name of this movie was another discovery: translated from the Kazakh "kebenek" - a hiking cloak made of thin felt, traditional Kazakh upper men's clothing in the form of a chapan (like a robe). Kebenek was wide and long, with a collar or hood. Warriors and shepherds wore these clothes during heavy rains and storms. And in a figurative sense, this word probably translates as "born in a shirt." The most interesting thing is that the end of the series - the last 10 minutes are in Russian. The series really deserves the attention of the viewer. Of the pleasant moments, we can also highlight the song "Soldier's Ballad" performed by the Kazakh singer Amre (aka Yernar Sadirbayev). Already on the credits, we see dry statistics: how many Soviet soldiers fought in this war, how many died and how many are still missing.
