The film takes place in Spain. The rector of the Academy of Music during the trip meets the young shepherd Besama selflessly playing the flute. The rector takes the shepherd with him and arranges for the Academy. An enthusiastic musician drives away teachers of natural sciences - and soon finds himself in a special boarding school for the hard-to-educate, where the teacher Rexach often beats his wards and makes them denounce each other. Besama soon concludes that violence must be met with violence. Gradually, the boy turns into a muscular guy who thinks less and less about his flute. . .
