In principle, the idea itself is interesting - as the introductory credits for the series say, this is a collection of visual essays for the love of cinema. The chosen themes are different – starting with Steven Spielberg’s Jaws, continuing with the topic of revenge in cinema, then moving on to Lawrence of Arabia, which the author considers a representative of classic gangster cinema (I, frankly, do not think he is), then suddenly moving to the creation of female images in animation, comes to the topic of comparing cinema and television, casually mentioning streaming platforms that have long surpassed TV in popularity as such, and ends with the topic of systemic racism on the example of the film 48 Hours. We see a lot of shots from the films in question, all this is shown at a fairly high speed, and the comments accompanying the shown, as a rule, do not differ in great depth, well, here who chose the director of the series. I was not particularly impressed by the series, a little informative, but not very interesting staged.
