I watched the Israeli mini-series Lesson. The case takes place in the graduation class of one school, where at the lesson of civics one student Leanna (Maya Landsman), whom the teacher suggested to choose the topic for discussion, raising the topic of molesting Arab girls in the pool, lit a fire of interethnic problems existing in Israel. She suggested that the Arabs should not be allowed into the pool at all, and that all of them should be deported and not allowed anywhere, and some of her fellow practitioners began chanting “Death to the Arabs.” Liberal teacher Amir (Doron Ben-David) tried to explain to them that all such measures resembled the Nazi measures that led to the Holocaust, that it was racism, but nobody listened to him much. And Leanna decided that the teacher generally treated her in a boorish way, was biased, denigrated the army, and set up a post in social networks, where she presented all this in a favorable light. The next day, when they were given a day of familiarization with the army, she once again distinguished herself by taking pictures with a weapon in her hands, which was unprecautiously given to her by a soldier, Amir saw it again, and then he got mad and yelled at her. Lianna's fellow student Asi (Leib Levine) filmed it, too, and then she posted it again online. Both of them were invited to TV, she began to shine fame blogger in social networks, encouraged by her, people began to hold rallies not only in their town, but also in other cities. And there was a conflict, quite in the spirit of the culture of cancellation, which eventually led to the fact that Amir quit school, although he had people who supported him. We also see the personal life of the heroes, in which everything is not smooth. And for Lianna personally, everything did not end too well, although by that time she had already somewhat backed down and did not want to follow the lead of Asi with his aggressive habits, and then Amir came to her aid. The film is conversational, the problems are clear, the actors play well. Sometimes the series is compared with the Polish cinema of the late 70s, well, some similarities can be seen.
