The film introduces important, but not yet solved problems of the Russian Orthodox Church. What is today’s church and where is its place in God? How to be a man when he ceases to develop within the church and does not receive answers to his questions? How to be when there is not enough rules, canons and want something more? Is it possible to continue to love the church when the Word of God ceases to be heard? These questions are asked by the young hero of the film to three wise fathers.
