In general, I have nothing against such patriotic films. In fact, I think they are necessary. There are complaints about the implementation of many. It feels like a request, an order was made for anything, but not for the sake of making a film. Everything is cardboard and template. And to those who really got me, understand me correctly, it is not about the war as such, I think in fact much worse.
If the specifics, there are claims to the motivation of the main character, who literally yesterday walked at a party and to the news said how tired you are, and today is ready to go to hell, because ... very unconvincing. It is also not clear why a person is needed without training, even minimal. And why he was released is also quite... strange.
Then they show us an exposition where the main character is told, I remember your brother sitting here. Excuse me, do you have any fortifications there, are you really in a clear field in the same place? Are you sure this is right? Next, the area was fortified next to the village, which is full of children. All right, old people, adults who consciously decided to stay, are you sure you didn't have to evacuate the kids from there, or did you add them there for drama?
Again, no character really has time to reveal a lot of deaths, but the drama is not enough. A villain who does not even hide (and I am not talking about the enemy) is completely sad. Are you sure you didn't know that he was unreliable? All right -- that's fine.
Soviet films about the war are far away. All that works well is to create a spectacular picture.
