If it weren't for the damn spoilers in the comments, it would be better. But overall, it's not bad either. Blood is really too much. And the battered: five of us go down to the basement and when it gets really scary, we split up. And the ending is a little counterintuitive, like, "thank you all, everybody's free." But overall, despite the spoilers, there are unexpected moments. And elements of comedy.
Fans of comedy horror can see it.

This genre (vampire and horror) does not appeal to me. The film began to watch because of Dan Stevens, who has not seen on the screen for a long time. I thought that in the garbage he is not removed, and the film even unloved genre will be something unusual.

The expectations were not met. The unusual thing was that I did not immediately recognize Stevens, because he had changed beyond recognition: as if faded and lost all his former attractiveness. It became clear why he starred in such garbage.

At first it was interesting until the vampires showed up. And it got boring.

I didn’t like what this tandem of directors did with the new “Screams”, so to see “Abigail” somehow did not rush. No way! Because the film is as close to true, honest horror as possible. It is dynamic, moderately inventive, often funny; the classic tropes (of which there are many) are used to the site. The actors play at a pleasant level, the production of action is very competent, and it is not completely clear on which note it will all end. At the moment (along with Invisible Man), it seems to be the most successful Universal Monsters movie of the modern era.
