Wim Wenders' Alice in the Cities. The film, of course, is very good and, perhaps, I would have liked even more if I had not constantly had parallels with almost simultaneously with this film made by Peter Bogdanovich “Paper Moon”, which I liked much more. Maybe because I saw it before. In the film, Wenders is captivated by the manner of shooting, such simplicity and truthfulness of the unfortunate and unsuccessful, but not bad, hero – a journalist who went to America to write an article about American life, but was never able to do it. And then one of the same unhappy mother throws him his nine-year-old daughter, which he has to take to Germany. The situation, to tell you the truth, is not very plausible even for that time. They first wait for their mother, then they look for their grandmother, they almost became friends, but the end is expected. Nothing out of the ordinary happens, but nevertheless with sympathy you watch all their travels.
