The film is set in Madrid in 1767, when “man was afraid of God and the Devil.” Director Paco Lara wrote the script based on the novel by M. J. Lewis. This is the story of a fervent priest during the Inquisition of a young father Lorenzo seduced by a temptress Matilda (a very pretty girl) who decided to take possession of his soul and body. As a result, the unfortunate after terrible torture confesses to witchcraft and falls on the fire. Do not look in this gray production condemning the Inquisition and its servants of special depth.
