The film due to the music, in particular, Beethoven’s sonatas No. 8 “Pathetic” and cozy chamberliness, a little theatricality – wonderful. It's about finding meaning in life.
And big feelings.
“The purpose of life is self-expression. To fully manifest our essence is what we live for. In our age, people have become afraid of themselves. They forget that the highest duty is to oneself. Of course they are merciful. They feed the hungry and clothe the poor. But their own souls are naked and starving. We lost our courage. Or maybe we never had one. The fear of public opinion, this foundation of morality and the fear of God, the fear on which religion rests, is what rules over us. Oscar Wilde – Portrait of Dorian Gray
The film has a lot of sentimentality, kindness, vitality.
At the expense of Morgan Freeman and Virginia Madsen, the necessary gradation of atmosphere and emotional content in cinema was found.
Watched with dad, mom and husband. And everyone smiled at the end.
Very good movie. I would recommend it to the entire Navigator. 🙏
