In the spring of 1680, horsemen led by Vauban stopped near the town of Bazos. After several sieges, Bazoch appeared to the inhabitants of Morvan as a quiet place, but as always, returning to his native lands, Vauban could not stop thinking about the capture of Mastricht, a land that fell in 13 days. A lightning victory, a model siege and a turning point in Vauban’s fate. This film tells the story of the life of the Marshal of France, writer and outstanding engineer-fortifier of his time Sebastian Le Pretre de Vauban, whose built buildings are declared a World Heritage of mankind.
