Hannah plays DI Jack Cloth, who is called in to investigate an apparent series of serial killings alongside his new partner, DC Anne Oldman, described as a "plucky, no-nonsense sidekick". Playing with the cliches and conventions of British police dramas, subplots include Cloth dealing with visions of his dead wife and the bisexual DC Oldman coming to grips with her feelings for both her female fiancee and Cloth.

If you are a person without prejudice, you have strong nerves, there is no prejudice against black humor and you are tired of the constant cliches and sometimes frank melodramatic vulgarity of standard detective series, you can watch the parody British mini-series “Inspector Kloth” / A Touch of Cloth (three seasons of 2 episodes), directed by the same director Jim O’Henlon, who shot such a very peculiar black and humorous series as “Inside the ninth”. The name itself parodies the name of the famous British detective series A Touch of Frost (Touch Frost, Frost there is the name of the detective), but already in the title there is a clear mockery, since "Touching cloth" is a slang expression in relation to (sorry) touching with excrement tissue, when you can no longer resist defecation. In six episodes in a very sometimes hypertrophied form with absolute ridicule, all these cliches are used, there is no humor as such, it is satire and smearing on the wall in a very characteristic spirit for the British with a transition across many conceivable for the average viewer borders. It is a pity that I did not find, although, to confess, I did not try very hard, an option with subtitles, there are often played out characteristic figures of speech, play of words, etc., the translator tried to convey this to the viewer, but I am afraid that not everything was clear to those who do not know their realities. Fans of subtle English humor are not recommended to watch, because there is a very characteristic for the British quite another side of their humor. This series reminded me of another in the same vein, but about doctors - "Green Wing".

Thanks to his police officer father's efforts, Shawn Spencer spent his childhood developing a keen eye for detail (and a lasting dislike of his dad). Years later, Shawn's frequent tips to the police lead to him being falsely accused of a crime he solved.
Now, Shawn has no choice but to use his abilities to perpetuate his cover story: psychic crime-solving powers, all the while dragging his best friend, his dad, and the police along for the ride. close
