“It’s funny: when you’re little, you believe you can be anything you want to be. Your dreams know no bounds. You believe in magic, you believe in fairy tales and fabulous possibilities. But once you grow up, this childhood faith dissipates like smoke, and with it you begin to see the realities of life and realize with horror that you cannot fulfill all your dreams. And then you become humbler, ask less of life, or stop dreaming altogether. – Cecilia Ahern I don't hope so. Love it.
I watched with my son (15.5 years) and daughter (10 years). They understood the inside of this movie. In my opinion, the film is not childish, but very adult. The style reminded “Amelie”, and the directorial receptions of Terry Gilliam and notes and points Tornatore (New Cinema “Paradiso”). The movie turned out to be moderate (so it is necessary here and it is clear) decorative and expressive, but there is no special naivety here. Serious questions are asked and not everything is answered. About the imperfect world around us. Magnificent acting by Kyle Catlett and Helena Bonham Carter. There is no excessive hyperbolization of images, reminded by the atmosphere of the “Kingdom of the Full Moon”.
The movie is very good. Unexpected. Watch the kids. I recommend it. 👧👦
