It's just another crack from the permissiveness of the '80s.
In this case, the authors were apparently inspired by stories about Indiana Jones and other “archaeologists” who actively fulfill their prophecies, blowing up all the architectural monuments they reach.
Completely passable and secondary story is perfectly revealed by fierce Russian voiceover, where the announcer is not only constantly stipulated and confused by the language in complex words, periodically generally speaking the opposite of English subtitles (which, here, are more like the truth). One pearl of "periosal rationalists" is expensive.
To be fair, the voiceover and the original suffered a lot (since we have a world prophecy, that is, American and Soviet agents speaking some terrible dialects), which caused a new wave of popularity (if you can call it popularity) in this strange title.
Great thrash to laugh with a beer.
