I learned about the trilogy, filmed by Israeli actress and director Ronit Elkabetz together with his younger brother Shlomi Elkabetz on his own script and watched the first film from this trilogy "And take a wife." It’s such a tough family drama based on the fate of their own mother and her unhappy marriage. The film begins with a scene in which six brothers persuade their sister Vivian (played by Ronit Elkabetz herself) not to leave her husband, with whom, as it turns out, she is deeply unhappy. He's not some kind of brawler, he's a deeply religious person, he doesn't beat her, he even cooks. This time (perhaps not the first time) they are able to convince her. But we soon see that Vivian is really unhappy with her husband, even though they have four children. She does not share her husband’s religious predilections and his desire to be the head of the house. He works at the post office, she works at the house of a hairdresser, she has been trying to persuade her husband to let her go to driving courses for 10 years, since he himself categorically does not want to drive, but they do not manage to come to an agreement on this issue. The children in this house also do not feel happy, the daughter is almost always silent and her father complains about her mother, the eldest son, despite the fact that he also has clashes with his mother, nevertheless, rather on her side, the younger boy has health problems, except that the smallest has not yet felt the atmosphere in the family, his grandmother (mother of her husband) is messing with him. From time to time, Vivian falls into hysteria, which is difficult to watch in the first place for children, in the presence of whom everything happens. In addition, the former lover Vivian comes to their city, who swears her eternal love and this time is ready to leave his wife, which, as it turns out, he did not do last time. But she doesn't believe him either. In short, there are no happy people there.
