In a small village in the mountains of Calabria, lives Rocco Ventura, a man in his fifties who leads a secluded lifestyle, along with his herd of goats. Rocco produces an ancient Calabrian cheese that is aged in the country’s caves in accordance with the ancient method. But on his land, the village mayor, who along with the greedy entrepreneur Bortholotti, plans to build a large and ambitious mountain resort.
