Two-part TV movie "Just the Prosecutor" (on the movie sites - "People's Judge") / Il giudice meschino, 2014, directed by Carlo Carlei, on the favorite Italian theme of the mafia and the fight against it, this time in Calabria. Two friends serve in the prosecutor's office - Alberto Lenzi (Luca Dzingaretti) and Giorgio Maremmi (Joele Dix), the first of them after he was covered up by the investigation, somewhat cooled to his profession, just serving time in the service, especially without straining, the second, however, still does not lose hope to do something and, as they often happen, he is killed. Alberto's murder of a friend has a powerful effect, he remembers who he is, and begins an investigation during which various facts surface, telling not only about corruption, but also about what so-called "green" firms sometimes do. In the process, he discovers that the person he thought was causing his job problems isn’t really that bad, and the person who worked directly with him, and the person he thought was his closest friend, aren’t who they seemed to be. Some information, although veiled, he also receives from the Mafioso, whom he once put in prison. In his work, he is helped by the bailiff Marina Rossi, with whom he is associated with a love relationship, although he is in no hurry to get married, remembering the first unsuccessful marriage, in which his wife Louise Ranieri starred. They eventually find the criminals, and Alberto has a second wind, he again speaks in court. The film is quite ordinary for Italians, this theme is inexhaustible for them, since in real life it does not disappear anywhere, however, as elsewhere.
