It's hard to judge this movie. On the one hand, the topic is very close to me, and all the events that are mentioned there are quite well known, and if they are little known, then thank the filmmakers for reminding me of them. On the other hand, the script of the film was not enough. Trying to fit a 20-year career of a great goalkeeper into the framework of a 2-hour tape is of course difficult, especially to preserve a holistic plot. And in general, this failed, very fragmentary, there is no common line. I am afraid that the non-experts did not understand what matches were played and what medals were won. Especially the legendary match of '63 and receiving the Ballon d'Or went unaccentuated. But for me, a big plus of this film that it was able to show Yashin as a person. For us, Yashin and Pele are in many ways four letters, painfully familiar, damn well-known, almost the logo of a famous brand. But not human. But in this film I was able to see Yashin, a man. With weaknesses, with overcomings, in general, in sports dramas, this is just easy, because sport is always overcoming. And in many places, there were tears, and again, I have a good sense of the value of the situations that are being described. Some of you may not understand. As a result, the emotional uplift that I received from individual scenes of the film for me outweighed other (scenario) disadvantages. I got a good grade. By the way, if you compare with the film about Pelé, then there was much less emotion, because Pelé is still a stranger.
