Valli + Supernova 2000 + Sadness 2007 + Shining + Gravity. Such a recombination of everything that has already been seen, and nevertheless strong, qualitatively made, so she wants to forgive the complete secondaryness. I love when a movie can make you feel better, when I believe in the actors, when I feel in my skin that the characters now have something to lose or gain. This is the case where I know the secret of the trick, but it's so beautiful that I take it. It’s impossible in a world where 30-40 films are released a year with a level of quality that was not even dreamed of a couple of decades ago. It is enough if the movie turned out just good, if you get a hurricane of emotions from it. In terms of drama, everything worked so well that it was a net 10. Beauty, strong scenes - all 10.
But with logic, unfortunately, everything is bad: such a ship cannot fly without an active crew, someone must be on duty on it in shifts, a tree cannot grow in a year, two people cannot just like hop and fix a fusion reactor. It is impossible for a company to earn a hundred dollars from such a business that it takes 250 years to fly back and forth, and workers – 5,000 people, taxed at 20% (yes, in some countries on Earth income and even more). The ship is packed with luxury - why if it will only be used for 4 months out of 120 years? The authors have confused a colonization ship with a cruise ship - the elite living in such luxury will never want to work as colonists. And there's a whole bunch of stupid things. I was also shocked by the fact that the ship was flying near the star Arcturus. Take a look at any reference book, Wikipedia -- it's 36 light-years away, and the ship only flies 31 years and at half the speed of light. Moreover, our localizers translated "Arcturus star" as "planet Arcturus" - are you kidding? Characters worry about how much time will pass in flight, but it has long been proven that at near-light speeds time slows down, so 90 years outside - inside is already less.
But as I said, you have to forgive some conventions in the event that the film really works and beautifully beats the feelings.
