The silence of the forest Don't watch at night. Don't look in nature. Impressive - don't look.
Very good movie. Nothing comes to mind for comparison. To so softly and unobtrusively immerse in the atmosphere, so as not to come up with anything new and impress - you need to try. The film is based on common legends about witches, both oral and written sources. The images are absolutely classic and this predictability is frightening, promising something very bad ahead. The feeling of constant pulsating anxiety accompanies throughout the film.
Everything is perfectly sustained: camera work, color scheme, musical accompaniment. There is no such eerie vulgarity that is often found in the horror genre. I wouldn’t even say it’s horror. More like a folklore thriller. I think this work can be called not only a bright directorial debut of Eggers in a big movie, but also a landmark film, with which his work will later be associated. And it is not for nothing that he is now writing the script for the remake of Nosferat.
It is pointless to talk about the actors' play - everyone has already said. And the high syllable that was taken by previous reviewers suggests that the movie is really impressive. Advise
