The almanac consists of four novels, which are all about children, and about children not very prosperous. The first novel “Pride”, directed by German Dukarev, takes place in a Georgian village. The father receives news from her daughter that she did run away with her boyfriend, although, as it turns out, the father warned about his unreliability. The father is embarrassed to admit this to the neighbors, he came up with a version that the daughter entered the university in Moscow, the neighbors consider this event worthy of a party, which everyone is going to. Suddenly, a phone call comes out... The second novel “Infection”, directed by Alena Rubinstein. The mother lives with a rather small daughter somewhere outside the city, the mother seems to have something to do with art, the daughter differs only wayward and capricious character somewhere even with elements of meanness. This is especially pronounced when a friend comes to her mother who helps her in work, collects models, he has to stay with her for a day at home, when the mother needs to leave for work, and then the girl turns around, inventing and making all new tricks. It seems that there is no way out, but a friend finds it. The third novel “One Step From the Sea”, directed by Andrei Voskoboev and Alexei Kim. The boy Senya lives in an orphanage, he draws very well and keeps himself a little apart. As is often the case with such children, he invents a mythical friend with whom he spends time on the beach, in fact in the basement. One day, a couple becomes interested in him and wants to adopt him, but because of her husband’s rash words, the adoption almost failed, but in the end everything will be fine. The fourth novel “Closer than it seems”, directed by Natalia Beliauskene (co-director of the short film “Pechatnikov Lane, House 3”). The boy Kolya Pykhtin, a small but very gifted violinist, comes with his music teacher to the Moscow Conservatory, where he is to perform among the other winners of the contest of young performers. However, he runs away from the teacher to find his father, who works as a doctor in the hospital, which he, oddly enough, succeeds. They spend the whole day together, the father recognizes his son, the son – the father, and they have great difficulty in time for the concert, where Kolya successfully performs. This novel, in my opinion, the most successful, in the role of father Timofey Tribuntsev, the boy Daniel Muravyov-Izotov is also very good.
