"Margarita" - directed by Xavier Giannoli, France, Czech Republic, Belgium, 2015. This story could be a melodramatic story in a series about turbulent rich ladies, but somehow imbued with sympathy for this really rich lady, obsessed with opera music, decided that she too has a singing talent, which, alas, she did not have, but none of the people around her ever told her about it. Everyone used what she had in abundance – her money, including her husband, from whom, however, she received the title. She regularly gathered charity parties, where she performed, not seeing how her guests interacted with each other, one of which was deceived by two journalists, one of whom wrote, rather as a joke, but with a long sight, a laudatory article about her singing. This was the beginning of a story that ended tragically. And it was about a very lonely woman. The actors were selected good, I would like to note the wonderful game of Catherine Fro, who played the main role. The film turned out quite good, but a little long (2 h.8 m). The heroine had a real prototype - Florence Foster Jenkins, however, she lived in the States, not in France, they say that in this film the story is not very close to the original. I haven’t seen the Meryl Streep movie about the same character yet.
