What's the movie about?
'- Why do you think there is a ghost in the armor?
- Well, she's a ghost because she can be invisible and she's in armor.' It is worth immediately figuring out where the authors aimed, without having any questions in the future about why to compare the film with anime. Overwhelmed scenes from anime? Got it. Like an anime plot moves? Got it. Boobs? No.
Both the trailers and during the viewing, it is clear where the authors were aiming: to make almost a remake with a western bias. Then we will judge from the position of people who watched the anime.
It has long been noted that when viewing a high-quality work, you do not look for small shortcomings, inconsistencies or outright nonsense (well, if only a little). More imbued with the atmosphere and judge by the general parameters: graphonium, plot, idea, etc. In this case, after the first 10 minutes, you begin to notice a bunch of gags of all colors, you want to disassemble all this and endlessly scold completely without paying attention to what is happening there, and everything is very simple. In terms of interest, fresh ideas and philosophical value, nothing is happening there. There is no place to focus and pick.
And that's the first problem of the film, the plot. Where anime raises questions: what is life? can artificial intelligence be considered alive? how insignificant will we look against the background of high technology?
Is this all humanity needs? Vicky at this point...hmm... Scarlett at this point inflates her sponges when she meets the first cyborg, comparing herself to him, saddens and dumps, showing everyone how sad she is. This will be repeated throughout the film. The writer seemed to see who was in the lead role. Scarlett frowned at him, and he frowned at her in response and went to write the script of the movie MotokoBatoJapan. So the unfortunate cyborg runs in search of himself, adventure, ignoring all the other characters in the film. This is another problem - too much emphasis on heroin as a VIP person. The anime just showed the mole ' here we are and my guys, we are very cool and all pubidim' there is no chewing everything and everything, there are no elect, there are no super duper villains, because I am a villain. There was a story about our future where this could happen. The director obviously loved to splash on the actress on a pleasant evening, in pleasant company. There are a lot of shots with the major in different plans, look who we have here. And in defense sawed the plot where Johansson tries to reveal himself as an ordinary chick with sad people and a deep inner world. And this is cyberpunk, this is neopunk, this is the present, that the past has no meaning at all. Funny that even try to justify that moment with her European appearance allegedly before she was Asian. It only makes me sad for 5 minutes of the movie. More! In the anime there is a ghost (as well as in the title for the especially attentive). The ghost was like a representation: a soul, but more globally a representation of consciousness and that it could be connected to a network. That was a strong argument for a major in anime. You have a ghost, and you don't even know what a ghost is. In the film, they shout that she has a soul. In a metal body with a living brain there is a soul, and what is it and how to know what it is? Why are you so sure about that? Ghost is leaked as is half the name. The villains. The villain two because of which part of the film reveals one and the other part of the second. While they are chasing the disclosure of the anime history and their plot do not have time anywhere because timekeeping is limited. So 60 percent of the movie is an explanation of what's going on right now: there wasn't enough time for action and for revealing the characters.
As a result: the beginning will come down, the development is stupid, the ending is absolutely useless with a lot of sagging moments. About them at the end.
Graphonies, locations and basically everything we see in the film.
Let's start with the main thing. Tits. They're gone. We love, we mourn, we remember.
Of course, this is also more of a flaw in the plot and... um...lora? Cyborgs walked around naked and looked like humans, prompting them to think even more, why aren’t they human? Look like us? They do. Think, analyze and make decisions? Yes.
And as opposed to additional thoughts for us, they quietly walk around naked, which seems to hint And where are morals, ethics and culture heavy robots?! All robots are robots without a magic triangle. As a result, a lot of scenes and questions about humanity fly into the dust.
The city, the special effects, the countonium, and in general the picture is beautiful. The effect of not finding fault with details, but looking at yourself in pleasure. The cyborg people also came out great, it is interesting to consider what is stuffed into who. There's a problem with our favorite major. She first makes a normal body, then she supposedly wears white armor as her body, then she has a body again, but with bloody edges where supposedly you can tear a piece off her as a module. It seems they have not decided what to show? Money was not brought to the nude again.
Why in a film with a beautiful city and a well-developed atmosphere, 70% of the events take place in sewers and other dark places with cocaine lovers (implants) I did not understand. Either I got in the eye, or really the film is very dark with a simple black pour at 255 edges.
The action turned out to be good, spectacular and in principle diverse, but it is practically absent. No action or plot - what they do in the film I myself did not understand.
Sound. He's all right. I never got the impression that the music was not suitable or annoying.
Casting and characters
That's the problem... oh, br/
Motoko is Chohansson, created for love, but not for the life of a half-human cyborg.
Bato is not bad. He's just not in the movie, he's not open, and he's very ordinary in appearance. In the anime, he was a wall who liked the major. Here he is a man, a family man with a dog and without eyes - impotent.
Aramaki is played by Takeshi Kitano. It's great, but again it's not there, and if it is, it throws empty phrases into the air and even in Japanese! In the story, he is just cool and immortal. Logic? She's gone.
Togusa is another Asian who appears in the frame 2 times. It was the first time that he was there and had not been forgotten. A second time to show he's not dead, all right, calm down. It's simple here.
The puppeteer is not a puppeteer, but like a puppeteer, we don't copy anime! Pretentious speeches, allegedly a hacker, although the whole film behaves like a useless piece of hardware. The actor who plays him is just a man. A child would play his part. It is not a memorable character.
The rest of us don’t even deserve attention as such. They have a very banal set of phrases and very little ' airtime'.
I don't remember everything, but it's just awful. The film was clearly not made by fans of the original source and even just not very adequate people. They clearly didn't care.
