With love for Taiwan Usually, when approaching the airport, the driver asked his boss Ta Pao when the return flight was, and then he just wished him a happy trip. Something is clearly wrong with that wish. Like you wouldn't wait back? Abroad with huge sharpened scissors Ta-Pao was met by the same as him, paranoids, suspecting in the kidalov already the guest.
Dangerous "business" forces you to listen to any noise behind the wall, unusual intonation, and if you do not go off the rails, you can learn to understand people wonderfully and, in general, gain everyday experience, helping to saw the helmet on the head of the enemy (oh, what a luxurious scene) to the desired degree of hysteria. Ta-Pao for some reason trusts the short-legged gloomy boy, who until recently, as if arguing with his appearance, stole mopeds until he could barely carry his legs away, and eventually became a courier for Ta-Pao, carrying you know what. Fate brings a guy with a taxi driver Old Xu (famous comedy actor Michael Hui from Hong Kong), who either old-fashioned or ironically calls the client “young boss”, and both go almost across the island of Taiwan on a trip that occupies at least half of this, oddly enough, soulful film.
Proximity to a life-threatening product borders on the fear of death. Ta-Pao and his companion hide their fear behind talk of jade stones and cool gold watches invented in Taipei by Michael Jordan and the British of Rolls Royce. The "Young Boss" may not be fearful yet, but it's more intense than usual. And only Old Xu will be calmer than all, on the verge of death joking and sincerely worried about whether he will be able to eat dumplings tomorrow.
A native of Hong Kong, who settled in Taiwan many years ago, Old Xiu seems to personify the people’s soul, absorbing with each new learned word the anxiety and dreams of those who do not have a car. I think having this car is a big luck, Xu says of his old car. Xu’s wisdom, tested over the years and the stories of his clients, will not only give him and the “young boss” peace of mind in the whirlwind of showdowns, but will also be rewarded with something incomparably more than a good portion of dumplings.
