The series is positioned as a judicial procedure with the original idea of “forensic science”. Well, the concept is quite original, but the implementation is not without some shortcomings. 1. Primitivism and/or contrivedness of some series. By the second season, the outcome (or the real culprit) becomes quite obvious by the middle of the series (if not earlier). 2.Departure from the original concept. By the third season, the series turns more into a detective, when the decision of the case is reduced to the search for factual evidence and the identification of the real criminal rather than to the analysis of jury reactions, lawyer work and other “forensic science”. Apparently, this was obvious to everyone and by the fourth season, the plot returns to the original idea. 3.Excessive tolerance . . . I don't remember a single black criminal (although statistics show that they commit about 40 percent of crimes). Negro-homosexual caste - necessarily (although in the future his orientation does not carry any semantic load and by the second season it turns out that he has a nineteen-year-old daughter). In the first season, almost every second couple is interracial (blacks with whites), although such marriages are currently only 5% and this discrepancy is “eye-cutting”. On the other hand, good acting (especially the performers of the two main male roles), “unstressful” main line, high-quality directing and camera work make viewing pleasant and comfortable for the mass audience. The fifth season is unclear due to quarantine. It was supposed to be the final one.
